Here it is- my next adventure is on the open waters! The Razor's Pirate Adventures by P. S. Bartlett is one you may want to check out. I love adventure as much as fantasy, horror and every other genre out there and now I can add piratic romance too. I had a feeling these books were going to be fun and I was right!!
With each read, I rated the book and then averaged them out for an over-all rating. So let's get this show on the road!
Prequel: Ivory Dawn
You know me, so you know how much I love the covers to this series! I've not seen anything like it before. The colors are rich and the pictures, though brief, are amazing! It's original and speaks volumes to me! Also, the interior of the book is gorgeous. There are illustrations and the fonts perfect for my feeble eyes. Plus's all around on this.
The story is great as well. Ivory Dawn is an introduction to Demon's & Pearls, the first novel of the series. Ivory Shepard and her cousins were trying to live a good, quiet life along a river, as farmers. Unfortunately, a group of pirates, headed by Captain Barclay had other plans. Through Ivory's skills and training given to her cousins, they not only survive the raid but win a spot abroad the Demon Sea, Captain Barclay's ship.
Ivory Dawn is a brief novella that kicks off my adventure on the high seas. I loved the book and I'm all set to go!📚

The official Book One to the Razor's Adventures Pirate Tales is P. S. Bartlett's Demons & Pearls. It begins with an amazing battle aboard the Demon Sea and time's passed since Captain Barclay and Ivory's last uh... conversation- yeah! Anyway, she's on to Bigger and Better things. Literally!
Ivory and her cousins are not out of danger yet! They've got enemies on every shore, but a small piece of Paradise, and they still have to get away! Once again, their safe haven is a threat and Ivory's got a new idea (and captain) on how to rescue them.
I enjoyed Demons & Pearls for several reasons: (1) Our hero is a girl, even though she needed the help of a man. I saw a lot of me in her and could relate to wanting to stand in a place men dominated. (2) She didn't quit! She was determined to save her family and do what she wanted. Lastly (3), and this is the biggest one: She's not absolutely gorgeous! Yup, I said it. She's a Plain Jane, an ordinary woman and not some super model that everyone has to have and drool over! There was just that much realism that I loved the story all the more. On to book three of the series!📚Rating: 👓👓👓👓👓/5 specs
Jaded Tides is just as energetic and full of excitement as the previous books. In this book, Ivory and Rasmus and the crew of the Lady Jade are in the business of rescuing Pearls, the girls and women stolen & traded for profit. It's a dirty business and full of dangerous, fly-by-night tactics to get aboard the vessels, but work worth doing in their eyes.
A lot of things change for Ivory/Ivan/Razor. For one, she's Captain Bergman's wife! And man, are these two a couple of lascivious teenagers! I tried to cover my eyes once and dropped the book! Oh, this is not, by any means, a YA novel! There is a lot of "Bow-chicka wow-wow" going on, even rape by the naughty pirates. But anyway, I thought the romance was going to ruin the story, but thankfully it does not. I enjoyed the tale and the cliffhanger.
Jaded Tides is really good, even with Ivory, periodically getting on my nerves!

In the final installment of The Razor's Adventures Pirate Tales, Ivory finds herself with a bounty on her head and a tugging at her heart! I admit, I was thrown off with the storyline and I feared I'd read the books out of order. Then I realized there was a significant change- and I won't say how or why for fear of giving SPOILERS! I am, however, thinking things in the world of pirates don't last!
Anyway, the story begins with Ivory, sunburned and dehydrated. She's found and nursed back to health... for a reason and by a mysterious man... a well-known man. She is to be turned over for a large amount of money due to her activity and the taking and remodeling of The Blue Diamond, her grand vessel.
This book was huge and full of new adventures. The cousins are running men on another ship and things seem to be where the females are running it! But at a cost and none of it seems to consistently play in their favor. AND there's a bit of humping around! This story is different from the others but still a great story! I also felt the romance between Ivory and her new love happened really fast- considering I was just reading of her with Rasmus and how she'd fallen in love with the greatest man on the high seas!📚
