I don't know if I should compare this movie to a John Carpenter movie, or Clive Barker or even H. P. Lovecraft, it's a contender! It's wicked, creepy, horrific and totally cool with me! If you're looking for a horror movie that's reminiscent of an 80's horror, but still different enough to gross me into purchasing it in iTunes before even seeing it! I think you will enjoy The Void.

There's something out there, in another dimension, and it wants in to ours. That's what I knew going in to The Void. I was looking for something horrific, because that's all I ever look for, and spotted this one. I can happily say, for $12.99, I am a happy reviewer.
The story is about an officer who's down on his luck, in a small down. He spots a bloodied, young guy crawling alongside a dirt road. He rushes him to the hospital, but sadly, something else follows them. Before you know it, the hospital, is under seize by people shrouded like the KKK, but there are triangular openings over their face. Oh- and they're murderous!
From there, it's a ride that doesn't stop, even at the end. I found myself standing, a few times, making chopping motions, yelling at the screen, pacing in frustration while the pic was paused, even sipping a glass of wine. Everything but the glass of wine was because of the freaking movie! It was so cool!
It starts off with a murder, then a mystery. You don't get filled in, as with most movies, but when you discover what's happening, you have your "Ah-ha" moment and wait to see exactly what's going to happen. It's gross, it's weird and it's totally inter dimensional. I thought it an awesome watch and I hope you do too. Watch it!
