Sometimes the time flies by, thanks to do so much and being so busy. Then there are times where you feel you've done absolutely nothing and the world is on fire and you can't even provide a good bucket to douse the flames, while still cooking dinner every evening, working out at the gym, singing for church, preparing for charity work and so much more...
Where'd my summer go? Did I even write? I've always been honest with my blogs. Here's one for the record.
Have you ever felt your writing wasn't good enough?
Being an author is conundrum. Sometimes you feel you're working the world's greatest manuscript. Like your book is going to make a difference in somebody's world. Then you can take a glance over everything and decide it needs to either be put on hold or simply deleted altogether! Other times you're compelled to finish it but wonder 'What am I doing?'
It's like Chihuahuas and Huskies, you know? Oh- you don't? Being an author means working the big ideas, as well as the small and bringing them come together to create a perfect plot to a novel. Or not.

Hey gang! I hope you enjoyed your second month of the new year! It's been amazing- though I'm still angry with The Jetson's for lying about us having flying vehicles, homes in the sky and personal robots- and no, tiny floor cleaners do not apply! But I think iFloor cleaners and iPhones are very close. Especially Siri and Echo and what's the other's item? Oh well. On with the post!
Progress on my current WIP:
I am so happy with my novel, The Malignant Soul! My ideas have flowed nicely (finally), as I've shared on a few of my social media. The cover is finished- I can't wait to share it. Only those who've subscribed to my newsletter will see that ahead of book release.
Who Am I?
My name's Alyssa and I'm just like you. Within me are stories, looking to be told. I do my best to relay them to the public, as magically as possible.
