It was very merry...
I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas! Lots of smiles, laughter, gifts, and an over-whelming sense of peace for the near year.
I watched the news this morning (depressing, I know), and saw many people didn't receive a joyous holiday. From house fires to a son being shot while walking down the street- so much pain in the world. This is why I always retreat into the world of fiction. I just don't like being washed over by the negativity. Thankfully, I received some awesome gifts to battle against the ugliness that can easily be seen with the push of a remote button...
I participated in a fast a couple weeks ago, in preparation for 2018. I found that I have developed a new sense of determination. Though I may be struck with negative feedback or someone not liking my book cover or story, I won't quit. I'm excited for what's coming.
Traditional publishing left me with a negative taste in my mouth, which is why I've stepped onto the path of Indie publishing. I won't stop- this is my dream. So this blog isn't just about how I'm feeling, what I plan to do and what I want. I'm writing it to you- for you. I wish you nothing but a beautifully prosperous New Year. The gifts are all nice and fun to receive, but it's about appreciation and what's to come! Plan well, spend wisely, constantly write, PAY an editor and smile 100%.
I'm seeing an amazing future. I'm seeing my new novel, success with my short stories and lots of fun long the way. With any luck, maybe a little money too.
Happy New Year and I wish you all, ALL THE BEST!
Who Am I?
My name's Alyssa and I'm just like you. Within me are stories, looking to be told. I do my best to relay them to the public, as magically as possible.
