Stinkwaves is a magazine full of short stories and poems. There are also illustrations that fit many of the stories. I enjoyed reading it, but my son LOVED it. It's the perfect read for Middle Graders.
Each story is written with it's own theme and photo. In this volume, I truly enjoyed Mummy Mouse and The Cat Who Broke the Witch's Heart but there are many to dive into. My only issue is that it was very short. Had I subscribed to this, I'd probably have been irritated. If I order something, I want substance- even for my son. This is a thin book, with a handful of tales- some very short. I understand they want to keep them coming, but when you're a magazine and not a book (I thought it was just a book volume), you should have more. Stinkwaves is cool, but not enough for me. But like I said, they weren't targeting me, so it doesn't matter. It's a middle school, Halloween-like reader.
Check it out, because younger ones will love it!.📚
