When you are repeatedly warned to not go someplace, maybe you shoudln't go. When someone tells you that a person left said place, only to return with their eyeballs in the hands... you shoudln't go. This is the story of three American tourists who were continually warned, and didn't freaking listen...
When Chris, James and Kate take a trip to Japan, they're looking for the experience of a lifetme. Kate, who loves photography, finds a photo in a book of folklore and decides they all have to go. When they ask about the location, they're repeatedly told, "Not a good place", "Find another temple" and worse! But do they listen? Typical Americans.
They are told to return from the temple before dark, but end up staying the night at the temple, due to ... You'll have to watch. Just know that's when the fun begins. They make every mistake you can imagine from the moment they enter the village. Stupid, stupid, stupid people!
I found this not to be a horror movie, but a horrific movie. For me, it was 78 minutes of warning and reason, then let down. I think I even died a little.
